City of Concord Launches TextMyGov

The City of Concord is pleased to announce the launch of TextMyGov, a convenient text messaging service that will help residents receive important city updates, access information, and communicate with the City using their mobile phones.

TextMyGov will officially launch on September 1, 2026. Residents may receive an introductory text message from 91896 on behalf of the City of Concord. Participation is optional, and residents may opt out at any time by texting STOP to 91896.

Sign Up for City Alerts

Residents who do not receive the introductory message can sign up by texting:

CONCORD to 91896

After sending the keyword CONCORD, you will receive a confirmation message asking you to reply YES to complete the sign-up process.

Subscribers may receive text notifications regarding:

  • Upcoming events
  • Important city updates
  • Emergency information
  • Weather alerts
  • Garbage delays
  • Water issues
  • Office closures
  • Other city services and announcements

Message frequency may vary.

Text the City for Information

Residents can also access city information 24 hours a day by texting:

Hi to 762-247-5241

After beginning the conversation, residents can enter a short question or keyword to find information about City services, offices, community resources, payments, meetings, utilities, and other frequently requested topics.

This service is designed to provide quick access to information without requiring residents to download an app.

Improving Communication with Our Community

The City of Concord’s use of TextMyGov reflects its continued commitment to improving communication and making city information easier to access.

Text messaging provides residents with a simple and convenient way to stay informed, receive important notifications, and find answers to common questions.

“We are proud to offer this service to our community and look forward to providing residents with another convenient way to connect with the City of Concord.”
